I wanted to permanently hide the zoom ruler. I went to the settings and switched the 'Show Zoom Ruler' off. Afterwards, I opened a .yml file and the zoom ruler was hidden, however, if I clicked a directory folder or a .launch file, the ruler went back. Moreover, it's showing again in .yml and .js files.
