Bug verified with BIRT 4.4.1 OS Linux Impossible upgrading reports developped with Birt 4.3.x to 4.4.1! This issue appears when designing reports in 4.4.1 as well. It is not just appearing when using reports from older releases. Just create a blank report, add a grid with a few columns and merge a couple cells. The exception is that easy to reproduce.
