Hi,

sorry for the late response.

Actually we would be ready for a release. The main problem is that we still need a decision on the IEC 60870 stuff. This is a topic which currently Mike is tracking (as far as I know).

If it is clear that we cannot release with this protocol on board, then we must remove it before the release. If it is clear we can use it, we would be ready.

If however the decision still is not made, I would rather postpone the release a bit in the hopes that we do get this functionality for Eclipse SCADA.

If you are running out of time, then we just postpone the release. We don't have a hard schedule on the release date.

That is my understanding as well. Ping me if you hear from Mike before I do.

Hi,

since we now have a decision about the IEC stuff, and we have a milestone build which already removed that functionality, I would like to re-schedule the 0.2.0 release now.

Since we do need another milestone build, I would like to aim for a release in about 4 weeks.

Would that be possible?
Comment 5 Jens Reimann CLA 2014-11-13 04:30:47 EST
I also stumbled over an issue with the IP log [1].

It looks like we never committed anything. Jürgen and myself are listed as "never active" and we don't have any committers. I guess this has something to do with the relocation from technology to iot?!

I haven't seen the decision. But let's move forward with the assumption that I will see it.

That works.

The IP Log generator depends on the "Dash" process to gather that information (I've got a new version in the works that removes this dependency). I think there may have been some failure in that process; I've restarted it and will monitor its execution. It takes a while, so try again tomorrow morning.

Actually... for troubleshooting purposes... did you update the project metadata (specifically the source code repositories) recently?

Not in the last few weeks. Also not the repositories in a long time.
Comment 9 Jens Reimann CLA 2014-11-14 01:33:35 EST
So I would like to add Mike to this bug and ask him to explain the situation on IEC 60870.

Thanks. This helps. I've increased the logging level on Dash, so hopefully it will tell me what's happening.

In the meantime, it looks like you're in business:

I've forwarded the IP Log to the IP Team for their review.

I need PMC approval on the review materials.
Comment 12 Kai Kreuzer CLA 2014-11-14 12:12:44 EST
lgtm, PMC approved!

Distribution of IEC 60870 is still not approved by the EMO. Discussions with the IEC continue.

I'm waiting on the IEC decision.

Can the IEC specification bits be excluded from the release?
Comment 17 Jens Reimann CLA 2014-12-18 17:03:09 EST
All IEC parts are removed in the latest milestone. These will not be part of the release 0.2.0.

Sorry for the delay. I've scheduled the release review to conclude on Jan 21. I updated the release record to reflect that date.

I declare this review successful!

Please continue with your release.
