In the following example, the whitespace between //@formatter:off and opening curly bracket is removed after formatting the code: public class FormatterOnOffTest { // this is fine FormatterOnOffTest() { //@formatter:off } //@formatter:on } In preferences I have 'Preserve white space between code and line comments' checked.
