I'd like to have a view called "shell", that starts a $SHELL in it where I can 
type commands. The shell window should be capable of all standard VT100 
sequences. 
 
Priority: if-you-have-too-much-free-time 
There might be a need for a configuration dialog to define the character 
sequences a key sends. (For example: F1 => "\033[11~".)

The eclipse team will not be able to devote effort to this request for R3.0.
This would be a good opportunity for you, or others in the community, to 
contribute to Eclipse.
