This is a report of the fix for bug #438354 from master (for Sirius 2.0) to the v1.0.x maintenance branch for Sirius 1.0.1.

Steps to reproduce : create a file with no extension.
Open a diagram
click on the button to set a workspace image
Click on browse 
=> NPE

Backported as 305f85945f82f93b03282ae7812c541401439a44 (cherry-pick of a04c4fa9df14001303cb213587767054c6fec5fb which fixed the issue on master).
