Environment:
Fedora 19, GTK 3
Eclipse IDE for Java EE Luna Release (Build id: 20140612-0600).

Issue:
First entry in content assist is white text on a white background. It makes it unreadable.

Workaround:
Change background color.

Are you just using the default theme? What happens when you launch your eclipse with the environment variable SWT_GTK3=0 set?

I run it with default theme. SWT_GTK3=0 works fine as for many GTK 3 related issues. It can be considered as workaround other than mentioned change of background color.
Comment 4 Eric Williams CLA 2018-06-15 15:16:30 EDT
I cannot reproduce this issue on 4.8 M7 and GTK3.22.
