Steps to reproduce the issue



1. Work on a up-to-date repository (no outgoing commits)
2. Navigate to Git Status page
3. Click Commit, check ammend, proceed

You should be displayed 2 commits, one outgoing, one incoming, with different SHAs.

I am resolving this as WONTFIX for now.  If we reopen this, then we might fix it.
