We would like to support running multiple Orion instances concurrently against the save workspace. For locking we will be using java.nio channel byte locks to protected metadata during write. We need a test script that will validate that the underlying server hardware honors these locking primitives. I have heard that some NFS configurations do not fully honor this locking. The test could be run on candidate Orion server hardware to validate that the configuration supports the locking we need.
