On the project view, you're able to click View -> Go Up, which navigates you out into the workspace view. After this operation, your project is selected, however you're unable to use the keyboard to navigate or use keyboard commands, e.g. delete. In order to restore the keyboard navigation, you have to manually select a project using the mouse.
