Description Yen Lu CLA 2003-09-17 17:59:05 EDT
When a StyledText is used to create a hyperlink effect, the hyperlink does not
appear to be accessible using Microsoft Narrator, JAWS nor MS Inspect. To
reproduce the problem, just check out Eclipse's Help->About dialog. None of
the text nor links get read and MS Inspect shows no information for the links.

The links are the major problem for us as we've duplicated the implementation
in our own dialog.
Comment 1 Grant Gayed CLA 2003-10-02 12:21:16 EDT
This is partially fixed in the 3.0 stream:
- inspect now correctly identifies the underlying editable text
- the text, including its contained links, are now read out by WindowEyes

However JAWS still doesn't read it out. Will continue to look into this.
Comment 2 Carolyn MacLeod CLA 2004-02-11 17:49:24 EST
This is completely fixed in the newest upgrade version of JAWS 5.0 (5.00.809).
To upgrade, see Frank DiPalermo's comment in bug 38194.
Closing bug.
