Whiteboard:

Description Tom Hofmann CLA 2003-09-17 05:15:31 EDT
I20030916

LiveSync View, Compressed folders are on.

-> every folder containing changes gets its own level-0 tree entry, like this:

project
 - core extension/org/eclipse/jdt/internal/corext/codemanipulation
    - file 1
    - file 2
 - core extension/org/eclipse/jdt/internal/corext/dom
    - file 3
    - file 4

The common parts should be in a common subtree, compressing only parts of the
path without multiple children.
Comment 1 Jean-Michel Lemieux CLA 2003-09-17 21:22:11 EDT
This was by design - to keep tree at a fixed depth so that the less amount of
space is wasted. But I can understand how the other view may be useful.

This bug has not been touched for 2 years. Closing as WONTFIX. Please reopen if
you feel this is still an important issue.

I think it would be nice to have. Synchronization is something I do everyday -
being efficient is important here.

Why not close as "LATER" and [help wanted]?
Comment 4 Michael Valenta CLA 2005-05-09 09:13:52 EDT
I'm trying to minimize what I put into the LATER bucket by first soliciting
feedback from the interested parties that the feature is still of interest.
Comment 5 Denis Roy CLA 2009-08-30 02:21:39 EDT
As of now 'LATER' and 'REMIND' resolutions are no longer supported.
Please reopen this bug if it is still valid for you.
