Description

Bug 429239 respecified the 3-files model of Papyrus, by removing all user-specific information from the Workspace to the user preference store (To be more team-friendly) This means that the model layout is not shared anymore when exporting the model/project, which is why it is initially empty (All editors are closed) I understand refactoring but do not understand why refactoring justifies a poor user experience. Now if I open an editor, I can get a grey screen. Very disconcerting. I have eventually learned that I need to chnage perspective to Papyrus, browse the model explorer to find a diagram and double-click it. In the absence of a memento indicating a specific context, I would expect all diagrams to be 'opened' sufficiently to show their tab labels and the first diagram to be displayed. (In reply to Camille Letavernier from comment #1) > (To be more team-friendly) This is really misguided. Now if I open a Papyrus model in my workspace I get a grey screen and no way to progress, until I switch to the Papyrus perspective and navigate to the diagrams. IMHO, the sheet tab names should all be visible as soon as I Open With Papyrus Editor Core. Perhaps, f you want to reduce startup activity, you may have a welcome sheet that offers the available sheet names. But sorry, the grey screen merits REOPENing. The current behaviour is indistinguishable from a broken editor. (In reply to Ed Willink from comment #3) Any progress? This was fixed in Neon M5 with bug 469188. |
