The installer does not have any splash screen and should have one.

In the commit adding the tycho build, I added an eclipse platform splash screen that I had, just to show this was possible.
Now you will most likely want to replace this image by something more appropriate to the project.

We have submitted a proposal for the new Oomph project:

A major driver for the creation of a new project is the demand to let Oomph manage IDEs and workspaces that haven't been installed with the Oomph installer. We plan to postpone all major development on the current sources in cdo.releng until the proposal is approved and the new project provisioned. We apologize for any resulting delays. If you think that this particular bugzilla is exceptional and needs our immediate attention feel free to explain why.

Now it has. Our graphics designer is working on an even nicer one ;-)
