Current user name is "mmisingnamerri". How can I change this? Does this stop gerrit from working?

That an ID we constructed from your account many moons ago.  It's not pretty, but it won't interfere with Gerrit.  Eclipse uses email as an identifier, so the uid is only used for Gerrit access.

Matt, can you have a look at the ldap_community_creator when you get a moment to see why these email changes are failing to reach Gerrit?
