The "Developer" section of the Viewpoint documentation, which includes the doc for our extension points and APIs, was not part of the initial contribution for Sirius. It is not completely up to date and contains some obsolete/misleading information, and we did not have time to review everything and adapt it for Sirius.

We should take the time to re-integrate as much as possible of it for Sirius 1.0.

The doc inclueded in 2.0.0 includes almost all of the old documentation, but many parts were not fully reviewed and may be obsolete/misleading. We released them anyway so that they are at least visible to interested users, and so that we can get feedback on which parts we should focus our improvement efforts. Don't hesitate to open bugs or comment on this one if you find specific issues with the version released in 2.0.0.
