Seriously? Yup :) I'm not going to disagree that it might seem an excessively complex password, but it's what the tool I use generates and it's easiest to just copy/paste rather than edit down. Does no harm either normally. It's been a while, but I think the problem was that wherever the password change form is, there is no limit on length whilst there is a maximum length on the password boxes elsewhere. It might be as simple as rejecting too-long passwords at the change page. I was hit by this, too (with a different password, presumably hitting the same bug). Is the list of forbidden characters in passwords documented somewhere? This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. -- The automated Eclipse Genie. FWIW, the portal is deprecated and most everything has moved elsewhere. Closing as wontfix. |
