animated GIF of the shell losing input

I've noticed that when I type a keystroke in the shell command field, and the keystroke causes the completions list to be updated, sometimes the character I typed is lost, or it overwrites the previous character.

This happens only when you type fairly fast, but it's very irritating.

For example see the attached animation. It shows me starting with this command:
>> loggers update org.eclipse.orion.server.servlets
and quickly appending "logs/log.txt".

The end result is
>> loggers update org.eclipse.orion.server.servlets log/lg.x

Somehow the 's' and the 2nd 'o' were lost. The 'x' overwrote a 't' that I had just typed.
