Another case like this: bug 420403. *** Bug 420403 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Still happens in the latest. Reproduced today. I think the server gives back two json objects as error. Closing as part of a mass clean up of inactive bugs. Please reopen if this problem still occurs or is relevant to you. For more details see: https://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/orion-dev/msg04002.html Reopening, now shows two json objects instead of html, which isn't much better. Screenshot is attached in next comment. Created attachment 267775 [details]

Is is just that the error message is bad or is the feature not working? Ran with the node server, the functionality works in general, but in the error case (an invalid URL) a green status is shown: "An unknown error occurred". Created attachment 236225 [details] screenshot I20131007-2230 - select a folder, invoke "Import from HTTP..." - enter a local url like "file:///c:/asdf" (possibly not a valid case) - a marked-up error message is shown in a green status, see screenshot
