We should have monitoring on orionhub of disk space and Java heap usage, with a goal of catching low memory or low disk space problems before they cause damage. If memory is getting low we could simply restart the server and log/email an appropriate warning message. If disk is getting low we could just bring the server down and await admin action to clean it up.

I vaguely remember this now, but we do actually have some basic monitoring on orionhub.org. It will send Ken and I an email if the disk usage exceeds 80%. I have now enabled this script to run on orion.eclipse.org as well. I have also committed a copy of the script for posterity:

We also said it would be useful to know if one or two users are taking up most of the disk space.
