With the new navigator linking code, it is possible to open a resource and have the resource location synced in the navigator. If you are focused in on a folder and select a resource that is not located in the current tree, the navigator will reroot to the top of the workspace and then find the newly selected file.

This doesn't always work because of the way row expansion is currently happening in the tree widget.
