Hi Eric, did you have a chance to look into the patch? Hi, just did the steps on 4.4.0.I20130917-2000 and I don't seem to have any issues; I can close / re-open the ant View multiple times. Am I missing something ? I opened the Java Perspective and closed all the views. Then opened / closed / re-opened the Ant view. Just to be sure I tried the same steps with the 'Variables' view to make sure it was working for views that didn't have placeholders in the Java Perspective. Could you try this again with M2 and if it's still not working for you try to figure out what's different between what you're doing and what I'm doing... I do know that there's a bug regarding detaching and closing *everything* including the editor area but I don't think that's the case here. Hi Eric, I have tried it with Luna M1 and it seems to be working correctly there. I believe that we can close it. I have provided the same fix as for bug 413590 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 413590 *** |
Created attachment 235437 [details] patch v1 When there are no views in the perspective and we open one and close it, we are not able to reopen it. Steps to reproduce (reproduced on N20130826-2000): 1. Start Eclipse 2. Close all views (You should have editor view available) 3. Open Ant view 4. Close Ant view 5. Open Ant view again What is: view has not been opened second time What should be: view should be opened second time. Attaching patch.
