Description John Arthorne CLA 2013-08-26 14:59:15 EDT
I created a new Git repository for Orion a month ago:

http://git.eclipse.org/c/orion/org.eclipse.orion.design.git/

It is still not showing up in this list, which is or was used to seed the list of github mirrors:

http://eclipse.org/projects/git-repos.php

Do we even use this list anymore? If so I can't find a way to get my new git repos to show up there. I have added my repositories in the project metadata on project.eclipse.org but it doesn't help. It used to be that after adding a new git repo, our git-repos.php script would be updated quickly to reflect that. I understand that GitHub is very slow on their end but wondering if something is broken on our side right now.

For reference I was using information from this wiki page:

http://wiki.eclipse.org/Git/External_Mirrors

We should perhaps edit that wiki page. GitHub mirrors are essentially broken and, as I understand it, won't be fixed. Not much we can do here.

Maybe I should start saving Orion Design Documents directly on GitHub instead ... since we want it to easily navigable for designers from GitHub too.

We are no longer maintaining mirrors at GitHub. The mirror process is broken at GitHub, and there is no apparent intent to fix it.
