Description Ole Jørgen CLA 2013-06-27 08:01:47 EDT
While it's possible to focus on active task in the outline view, there's no integration with quick outline. (ctrl-o)

I don't think it would be a good idea to filter out all non-context items, but it would be very useful if the matches was ordered by context relevance.

I use quick outline ALL the time and this feature would in many cases make it twice as quick to get where I want.

(If "quick context view" wasn't unbearable slow it might be able to fill this need)

Just to be clear: I'm talking about quick outline in java/javascript/etc. files. (Seems like there's a quick outline for tasks too)

Given that we already surface this information in the package explorer and quick context view (which I no longer find slow), and that the quick outline is filterable, I don't see a strong need for this. The bug has been marked helpwanted though to indicate that we would be happy to support a community contribution to resolve it.

Mylyn has been restructured, and our issue tracking has moved to GitHub [1].

We are closing ~14K Bugzilla issues to give the new team a fresh start. If you feel that this issue is still relevant, please create a new one on GitHub.
