Tom, please weigh-in on whether this is important or not? I think (only) use-case is if someone wants to "get the product" from the repository, for a platform that is not provided, pre-made, on your downloads page. aix? hpux? s390? (oh, and I guess maintenance updates, if any). I do not view this as important for Kepler at this stage in the release. Perhaps we can revisit for Luna? I'm not sure there's a reason to fix this ... it seems that by the time someone had "enough installed" to load something from the repository, there would be no reason for them to get "starter kit". (There could reasons to have it there that I don't know about, so if anyone considers it important, please reopen with the required scenario). |
