Description Tom Gissel CLA 2003-07-28 07:45:57 EDT
Hi,

My colleagues and I often find it a tedious process to run a class developed
within the eclipse framework outside in the production or test environment.
Things like configuring the classpath and VM arguments are long and error prone
procedures. It would be a great feature, adding days of productivity, if
eclipse had the ability to export its "Launch Configurations" as BATCH or SHELL
scripts.

Thanks,
Tom

Currently deferred. I think this is an interesting problem ... but much larger
than it looks on the surface.

I believe this has to do with application packaging (bundling, exporting...).
The problem is how to get a deployable runtime out of Eclipse, once an
application is developed.

marking as wontfix, there are no plans to add this feature, but contributions are welcome.
