Description Anthony Hunter CLA 2013-05-14 10:17:46 EDT
As per Bug 393682, the Modeling project has been restructured and mid-level "container" projects (modeling.gmp) have been marked for termination. GMF Notation will be moved into the top level project.

In this case, we need a new website git repo for GMF Notation.

We have decided in bug 407596 that the name of the project will be modeling.gmf-notation, so the website would be gmf-notation. In fact there already is a http://www.eclipse.org/gmf-notation/ placeholder.

We should not migrate the existing CVS data, I will migrate by hand to git and cleanup at the same time.

Ok I've created /gitroot/www.eclipse.org/gmf-notation.git which should checkout in www.eclipse.org/gmf-notation. Git URLs:

ssh://committer_id@git.eclipse.org/gitroot/www.eclipse.org/gmf-notation.git

http://git.eclipse.org/gitroot/www.eclipse.org/gmf-notation.git

When I try to push I get an error:

Repository ssh://ahunter@git.eclipse.org/gitroot/www.eclipse.org/gmf-notation.git

hook declined
Can't do setegid!
error: hook declined to update refs/heads/master

If I look at http://git.eclipse.org/c/www.eclipse.org/gmf-notation.git/ it does not seem right, it says "Repository seems to be empty"

I suspect this was caused while I was pushing in an index page to prevent the update script from complaining and I had to temporarily change the repo permissions. Are you still having this issue?

I can pull your new files but same error when I push any changes.

I added myself to the gmf-notation group and has able to replicate this until I force updated the group data on git.eclipse.org.

Given the number of groups you're in it may be the nfs group limit. I've added an acl for you so let me know if you're still seeing this.
