When I try to use the MPC, it fails to connect to eclipseplugincentral.net.
It looks like http://eclipseplugincentral.net does not answer.

What version of Eclipse and MPC are you using?  MPC is connecting fine for me. Also surprised you are trying to connect to http://eclipseplugincentral.net  That is a very old domain.
