Currently going to 
  edit.html

Gives you the editor page in a dead state. This doesn't make sense now that we have the sidebar navigation. Instead, we should expect to see the top-level content in the sidebar navigator and an empty edit pane.

In other words I expect to see the same result as if I'd visited
  edit.html#,navigate
