Thanks for the report of "differences" ... now the important question ... do you need it? If so, what for? It was removed intentionally, see bug 404213. Hi David, we need them in our target platform in order to be able to execute headless JUnit Plugin Tests when developing Equinox based solutions. Thus, removing them completely would break the possibility of executing headless plug-in tests. -Gunnar (In reply to comment #2) > Hi David, > > we need them in our target platform in order to be able to execute headless > JUnit Plugin Tests when developing Equinox based solutions. > > Thus, removing them completely would break the possibility of executing > headless plug-in tests. > > -Gunnar So you need both of them? I suggest you re-open bug 404213 (mark this as a dup of it) and make your case there. My main question is if we are providing a "convenient feature slice", "just for you" (that you could create yourself) ... or, if this is a fundamental service to equinox community? (And, I don't mean that to be confrontational ... just thinking it through, trying to reduce things in our build, that we do not use). (And, I don't mean that to be confrontational > ... just thinking it through, trying to reduce things in our build, that we > do not use). I understand your goal. But I think it's very late in the game to remove things that have been there for years. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 404213 *** |
