I cloned the following: https://github.com/mrennie/crossfire.git and during the clone process I was not prompted for my credentials like you are when you use an ssh url (git@github.com:mrennie/crossfire.git).

It would be very handy to just be able to enter all of that at one time when I clone the repo.

Bug 405795 describes how you are prompted if you try to push, but other than that, there does not seem to be any other way to set my https credentials (unless I am missing something obvious)
