Linux fedorabook 3.8.4-102.fc17.x86_64 #1 SMP Sun Mar 24 13:09:09 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux May be due to having last been in the DDMS perspective. Because looks like clicking back on DDMS hangs it again (after renaming sdk, restarting a few times, and restoring SDK name and restarting but with focus on Java perspective). Finally also lib/eclipse/eclipse -clean & to enable being able to use the DDMS perspective again without hangs. You can run one of the steps in http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/How_to_report_a_deadlock while your are hung up to get a stack snapshot and figure out what eclipse is doing. Please attach it to this bug. PW This looks like it could be be the same problem as https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=436002. To check: Tim, the bug's component version indicates that you are on Eclipse 4.2.1 (Juno). Is that correct? Which version of the Eclipse Marketplace Client do you have installed? You can check from Help > About Eclipse > Installation Details. Also, which version of ADT/DDMS do you have installed? If this is indeed a duplicate of bug 436002, the problem should be fixed in the latest MPC builds available from http://downloads.eclipse.org/mpc/nightly and in the upcoming Eclipse Luna RC3. Oh, I only now realized that this was from 05/13, not 14... And I can't actually reproduce it with Luna with or without the fix for bug 436002. Could be that it was a similar problem as we've encountered there, just the other way around, with DDMS doing something outside the UI thread. I have not seen this in a while, also Android SDK is not supported anymore for Eclipse. |
