Description Nevik Rehnel CLA 2013-03-16 12:44:35 EDT
When displaying the results after finishing a profiling run with Perf, the Perf View shows the entries in ascending percentage order.

This strikes me as odd, since it also has no threshold of which percentages to include, and this I have to scroll down a looooooong way to get to the *interesting* symbols with higher percentages.

If possible, please change the default to descending order (high percentages first), and add an option to change this in the view.

This has been fixed in our master branch but didn't make it into 1.2.1. You can try updating the Perf plugin from our nightly build repository ( http://download.eclipse.org/linuxtools/updates-nightly ). It would be a good idea to have some sort of percentage threshold a user could specify to filter the view, so I'll keep this open to track progress on that.

Roland, should we mark this fixed for 2.0 ?
Comment 3 Roland Grunberg CLA 2013-05-27 10:29:00 EDT
I'll mark this CLOSED (FIXED) and set the milestone as 2.0. I'll open a feature request for including a percentage threshold when displaying data.
