Description Garry Sager CLA 2013-02-11 08:34:26 EST
We set eclipse.exe" -perspective com.bowstreet.designer.model.ModelPerspective -vmargs -Xmx512m in our start menu command to get eclipse to start in our perspective when a new workspace is created. This has worked for years in the previous versions of eclipse, we are trying to upgrade to 4.2 and this does not seem to work. We do this through the command line so we can work when our product is installed into existing eclipse installations and so eclipse will only behave this way when our application is started. Eclipse does start in the java perspective and our perspective is available from the perspective menu but we need our perspective to be displayed initially as it did in the past.

I experience the same issue for Eclipse 4.3 and 4.3.1.

I think it has been fixed, see the Bug 377981. Could you please verify whether the issue is still present in the 4.3 and 4.4?

thanks,
Daniel

I tried on Eclipse 4.3.2 Build id: 20140224-0627 and the problem still exists there.

However, on Eclipse 4.4.0 Build id: 20140612-0600, the problem is now fixed!

Thank you everybody for all your efforts,

Ed.
