Currently, perf displays data in a tree structure based on percentages with the top-level always being 100% of samples.  The sample count should be displayed as well (even if it optional) so that a user can calculate if they have accomplished something from a change (e.g. number of branch-mispredictions goes down).  If possible, colourization of the numbers would be helpful to match those in the command-line tool (e.g. high values are displayed in red).
