SAP HANA Database requires a slightly different syntax for the ALTER TABLE statement that adds a column to an existing table:

ALTER TABLE ADD (<column_name>)

The generated SQL should be adapted for this platform.

I created a github contribution for the change:

However, it should not yet be pulled into the main repository as it depends on bug 397558 which is still open.
