Description Peer-Timo Bremer CLA 2012-12-08 00:19:54 EST
I can remap some commands e.g. I can remap "Debug" to ^C^D without a problem. However, re-mapping "Build Project" to ^C^C (or anything else for that matter) does not work. I can re-map "Build All" just fine and everything else I have tried but not "Build Project"

I see the ^C^C shortcut appear in the menu at the correct place and pressing ^C brings up the correct list of possible shortcuts yet ^C^C does nothing.

I have tried changing the "When" context but no luck

Some more information. I found this old bug

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=305604

that suggested that which window has the focus makes a difference and indeed it does. If I have selected a project, subproject, or even a file in the Project Explorer window the shortcut works as expected. However, if the focus is on an editor it does not.

Seems to be an e4 specific issue. Cannot reproduce with Eclipse 3.8 / CDT 8.1.
