The repos that are generated in the build by eclipse.platform.repository don't necessarily contain the same thing as the PDE builds ones.

For example the generated org.eclipse.rcp-M20121130-0752.zip repo is 373 MB ... that's way more than the simple org.eclipse.rcp feature and what it contains.

Released the delta pack, http://git.eclipse.org/c/platform/eclipse.platform.releng.aggregator.git/commit/?h=R4_2_maintenance&id=e616b1cead7860fa958b343c5e92f90f3c4f412c

But we're blocked on bug 395325, we can generate  the rcp source or deltapack repos without org.eclipse.equinox.executable.

Doing a mass "reset to default assignee" of 52 bugs to help make clear it will (very likely) not be me working on things I had previously planned to work on. I hope this will help prevent the bugs from "getting lost" in other people's queries. Feel free to "take" a bug if appropriate.

This is a pretty old bug and the main "actionable" item seems to no longer be an issue. The rcp zipped repos, for example, are 59 Megabytes (for code only) and 109 Meg for code plus source. So, either "fixed", or "greatly improved". I do not know if the contents are identical to what the PDE build used to produce. And, since I do not recall what was done to fix this specifically, will simply mark as "worksforme". 

Feel free to re-open if anyone believes there is more work to do here.
