On first login we hit the navigator page (or any other Orion page for that matter) which is partially rendered and then  redirected to the login page. This is probably not the ideal first impression. It would be better if we rust redirected without rendering anything.

A similar case appears now when the server is restarted. On your next page load, you see the message about logging in flickering briefly in the current page, and then the redirect happens.

Shell left open after logout can produce messages like:

File service error: [object Object]

if you try an "ls"

Otherwise, I tried this out and it seems to get rid of the free Navigator.
