Find Options
------------

Some of us hadn't noticed the find options - we think mostly because they're located away from the find text box. Most people in the room seemed to agree that it would work well for the find option drop down to be integrated with the search field.

There are possibly existing bugs that discuss the placement of the options.

We think when find options are chosen that they should globally apply to all open and subsequently opened editors [ via preferences, but not as a category - managed from the editor ui ]

Behavior on pressing CTRL F
---------------------------

When there is no selection, pressing control F should not result in the edit page scrolling away from focus. This is related to an existing bug: Bug 390861

Should incremental search be the default mode?

[ These are findings from a UX discussion 0n 02.10.2012 ]
