I noticed today that none of the favourites I had were valid any more. I think this was caused by changes to the workspace URI at some point.

I'm not sure if it's something we'd ever want to fix in general, but it might be nice to remove favourites that pointed at the user's workspace, at least, when we do something that would invalidate them.

There's a related issue in that the way we display an error message when the link is invalid is not very polished.

Same thing happened to saved searches as we stored both search term and scope.
I am wondering if we need "version info" in the favorites or anything else similar. So that at the first time they are retrieved we can check the version and decide if we have to just clean them up or migrate. After that we burn the new version info in.
