Now that the saved/recent searches show up in autocomplete, can we remove them from the search options menu?

we would need a gesture to see an "unfiltered" autocomplete from the searchbox.

This specific feature not supported on Safari so the list is still useful

In Bug 390205 comment 3 I was wondering if we should stop using datalist and build  the proposal by our own. It was targeted for RC1 but we may end up leaving it as is if higher priorities are not fixed.

But even we will have our own proposal UI, we may still want the saved search as quick launch without typing anything. Plus, saved search contains search term + scope.

The links for recent an saved search gives you a quick launch of the search URL.
Till we will have a fancier UI design for the proposal,  Ithink we will keep it for 1.0
