Description mobilae CLA 2003-06-16 06:49:47 EDT
When i press F1 in project import i got links which
has little with the context of operation - about new project wizards.
Comment 1 Konrad Kolosowski CLA 2003-06-16 10:06:18 EDT
The wizards are part of Platform UI.
Comment 2 Debbie Wilson CLA 2003-06-16 11:34:22 EDT
Using the following releases:
2.0.1
2.0.2
I20030611 (current stream for 3.0 development)

I performed the following steps:
- File->Import
- on the 'Select' screen press F1
- I always got a message saying "Choose the type of import you would like to
do" and then got a link to "Using the import wizard" which, when followed,
went to a document titled "Importing resources from the file system".

Could you be more specific (follow my example above) about exactly what you
did and what you saw? Also, could you check with 2.0.2 to see if this hasn't
already been fixed.
Comment 3 mobilae CLA 2003-06-16 12:07:11 EDT
Next screen makes confusion:
- Select Existing project in Workspace
- Press F1 you get:
New project Wizard and 2 more links which are apparently wrong.
Worse is this particular import is very confusing for 2 more reasons:
1) actually project is _not_ imported in workspace, not copied
2) user must know what means by "existing" - contains .project and not ZIPPed
Comment 4 Tod Creasey CLA 2003-06-16 14:11:06 EDT
Should be a link to org.eclipse.platform.doc.user/tasks/tasks-
importproject.htm in the help context
Comment 5 Kim Horne CLA 2003-12-05 14:17:03 EST
The import wizard has a help context set to
org.eclipse.ui.ide.new_project_wizard_page_context but it is not being
displayed. This same context is used in the new project wizard, and it is not
visible there either. This looks like a problem introduced by the RCP merge.
Nick, what is the strategy for updating help to reflect the new ide namespace?
Comment 6 Nick Edgar CLA 2003-12-07 10:16:25 EST
I'll take care of it.
Comment 7 Nick Edgar CLA 2006-03-15 11:24:09 EST
Reassigning bugs in component areas that are changing ownership.
Comment 8 Boris Bokowski CLA 2009-11-26 16:15:54 EST
Prakash is now responsible for watching bugs in the [RCP] component area.
Comment 9 Prakash Rangaraj CLA 2010-10-05 05:05:27 EDT
As of 3.7 builds, the import wizard doesn't have the *new_wizard contexts, but it has org.eclipse.ui.import_wizard_context. The help also seems to be right.

Probably fixed along with some other bug. Closing this bug.
