This is a forked bug from bug 369604, comment 17. 

Steps:
1) Go to View All Branches page
2) Enter e.g. 'origin' to the filter field and see how the list is filtered nicely
3) Now leave the filter box, enter it again and expand
4) See that the list is not filtered

It is actually an issue with dijit.form.Combobox. Tracked by http://bugs.dojotoolkit.org/ticket/15908
