Description Libor Jelinek CLA 2012-08-30 08:13:56 EDT
Because

* original HTTP Service implementation in o.e.e.http bundle is abandoned
* is not probably that any effort or bugfixes will be made in o.e.e.http anymore
* de facto replaced by Jetty-backed version in o.e.e.http.jetty

I propose to mark this bundle and its content as deprecated to caution before production use and drive new users to Jetty version directly.

Yes, we need to mark this as deprecated.
Comment 2 Dani Megert CLA 2013-05-29 03:05:51 EDT
Is this sill planned for Kepler?
Comment 3 John Ross CLA 2013-05-29 13:38:44 EDT
Changed component to Website. Changed target to Luna. This is a webpage update only, which will be addressed soon. The bundle is no longer shipped.
Comment 4 David Williams CLA 2014-06-23 11:04:03 EDT
So ... was this fixed in Luna? (i.e. marked and/or removed?)

Did we ever ship a bundle called 'org.eclipse.equinox.http'? I couldn't find it in any SDK drop.

No, only the jetty based http service was ever shipped in the Eclipse SDK.

This is our last bug marked for "Mars" (according to my query) ... so ... was it fixed?

Is this really a "website" issue? Update release notes? Migration guide?

Only a website issue. Still need to update the website, but it is not strictly tied to the Mars release. Marking for Neon M1.

Can we fix this instead of moving out every milestone?
