Description Christian Eßl CLA 2012-08-29 07:14:23 EDT
Altough the checkbox "Save password" is clicked, Eclipse does not save the password of a FTP connection and always prompts me to type in the password when reconnecting.
I tried to restore reset the Secure Storage to defaults with no changes.
When I look into the Storage Folder \.eclipse\org.eclipse.equinox.security\ there is nothing inside.

using JRE7

I have the same issue.
Using Eclipse Standard/SDK 2.0.2.20140224-0000
Remote System Explorer End-User Runtime	3.5.0.201309112143
Windows 7
Comment 2 Michael Konečný CLA 2014-05-01 15:09:43 EDT
I "resolved" the issue by deleting org.eclipse.equinox.security\secure_storage file (located in Users\me\.eclipse on Windows).
Newly set passwords now save fine.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got
resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some
reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it.
The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you
still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is
(for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

If the bug is still relevant, please remove the stalebug whiteboard tag.
