Description
Sam Davis
As far as I can tell, this is the expected behavior. The default search looks for exact matches. Why should it collapse space characters? Well, it's easy to accidentally type 2 spaces and not realize it (or wind up with 2 after going back and editing your search), and it's hard to imagine a scenario where you would actually want to search for consecutive spaces. I don't see that as a common problem that two spaces are entered and don't see a reason to add special handling for spaces since that would be inconsistent. |
