1. launch eclipse on IBM VM 1.4.1.
2. open a plugin.xml file with the manifest editor
an error is reported in the console and the .log file (see attachment) :

Unhandled exception caught in event loop.
Reason:
org.apache.xerces.parsers.DOMBuilderImpl: method
setFeature(Ljava/lang/String;Z)V not found

This looks like a duplicate of bug 36882.
Make sure you don't have another version of xerces on your machine that is 
interfering with the one shipped with Eclipse.

IBM 1.4.1 is bundling xerces which is masking xerces that is shipped with 
Eclipse.
