Win7/Chrome.
If I open the themes page, I see the "map" of what colors I can change, etc. If I happen to click to the right of the mini-preview, then the map part (the red lines) disappear and from there I can change between themes but can't edit my own theme. For example, click in white space or click in label text like "NAVIGATION BAR" and it disappears.

At that point, switching to another tab and back won't bring it back. But reloading the page will fix it (but you have to go through bug 381127).

I can see what you're seeing in this, and can work on improving - however I don't see anything stopping you editing your own theme. Nothing tells you can or can't, and clicking on the diagram reveals the color chart again.

The white space to the right hasn't been included in selection yet. Actually there are a few parts that haven't been included yet. I did as much as I could before going on vacation - knowing that when it was committed that it would take another bit of polish to complete it - there was quite a bit of code already - I think/hope the bulk of the underlying framework.

I'll work on it.

What I meant was that I had no idea clicking on the diagram would make the chart reappear, so I thought I could no longer edit a theme.

Changed the behavior of clicking in whitespace.
