Current release breaks the feature (that was working fine in Indigo), wherein an user could "persistently" hide the Eclipse toolbar across workspace restarts. In simpler terms, once the toolbar was hidden, it would not reappear on subsequent restarts. It would reappear only when the user would explicitly select the option "Show toolbar".

In the mentioned link above: Brian de Alwis mentions what is a poor workaround, where he states that there is a key-binding to toggle the UI toolbar state. But what he completely fails to understand that the toolbar's hidden state does not persist. On restarting the workspace, it appears again.

Moreover, the options for hiding and showing the toolbar under the Window menu have erratic behavior:

1. Only when the Welcome screen is open, the option "Show Toolbar" is visible under the Window menu. Once the Welcome screen is closed, the option disappears. Ideally, the one of the options "Show Toolbar" and "Hide Toolbar" should be visible under the window menu at all times, depending on the toolbar visibility state.

2. Say you have the Welcome screen open. Now, the option, when visible under the Window menu, reads "Show Toolbar" irrespective of the state of the toolbar. Ideally, when the toolbar is visible, it should read "Hide Toolbar", and when the toolbar is hidden, it should read "Show Toolbar". This is what the behavior in Indigo was.

The menu items under the Windows menu showing the correct entries may not be a top priority, but PERSISTING the state of the toolbar across sessions is a must. I don't mind even using the key-binding mentioned by Brian to hide the toolbar, but it has to persist across the sessions.

Hiding it in one session only to have it re-appear in subsequent sessions is a bug, plain and simple.
